This week, we’re throwing open the doors to our marker factory and taking YOU along for a behind-the-scenes tour. No fancy jargon, no stuffy guides — just a real look at the machines that turn plastic and ink into the markers you use every day.
Let’s cut to the chase: our factory isn’t just a bunch of boring assembly lines. It’s a busy, buzzing space where cool machines do all the heavy lifting. We’re breaking down the tour for you, so you can feel like you’re right here with us.
We begin with the machines that perform injection molding. Tiny plastic pellets are melted and injected into molds shaped like marker barrels and caps. The plastic quickly cools and solidifies. This whole process happens in mere seconds.Our operators monitor them to ensure proper thickness and prevent leaks.
The markers are assembled using robots that perform specific tasks for each step:
Nib Insertion: A machine accurately inserts nibs into the barrels of markers.
Wick & Ink Filling: A machine inserts the ink wick and fills barrels with ink, checked by scales every 30 seconds.
Capping Time: Inner seals and outer caps are applied — tight enough to keep ink fresh, loose enough to open easily.
Our centrifugal mixer spins ink to remove bubbles, ensuring smooth flow. For permanent markers, a three-roll mill grinds pigment to tiny particles, checked hourly for quality.
We randomly test markers: one machine checks for leaks, another tests writing smoothness and darkness. Faulty markers are rejected immediately.
Passed markers are shrink-wrapped, boxed, and labeled. Staff checks for missing caps or crooked labels before shipping.
Our operators and engineers calibrate machines, check ink, and ensure quality — machines bring speed, humans bring heart.
